Heya,
Have emailed them, just waiting for a reply... if i dont hear any back by say thursday ill give them a call. Been thinking seems the date is around two weeks after the Dragoon 65th etc, and we want to impress from the start how about a Dragoon D-Day +14 day, maybe a CP/ HQ display..

Re: 2009 events...
Hi Guys,
Sorry for the lack of replying, been busy as hell.
The Glenn Miller fest is a no go for me i'm afraid, im at the leeds festival that weekend. I have a really busy summer.
It's looking more and more likely that an event isn't going to take place this year and we should spend the downtime getting the kit all squared away and ready for next year.
Regards, Bez

Re: 2009 events...
I personally think our first event should be with all members present. We have but a small band anyway that the more authentic young looking lads we can get together on a display would be better.
Mark Kelmarsh did cross my mind but you can't dig in there and we ideally want to do a combat display anyway so it's not really an option.

Re: 2009 events...
that is very true, we are strong in young members which give us a bonus really.
We could do a pre drop display.. tented area.. drop container packing, kit lay outs etc

Re: 2009 events...
with out sounding silly would be be best to start a new fred for 2010 events? then we can start again, list the event we went to do etc then people can yes or no etc...
i think it would be great if we could do 4/5 events...
taking about events, after emailing GM fest, they have come back to me and said that the griups that display as part of the event are groups that have there collections there. So it wasnt a yes or a no news really.. but think it most likey a no..

Yep agreed mate, start a new thread!
Is it worth asking if groups can attend that do not have their displays there, that way we will know for sure.
