At The Front Jumpsuits.

Hi Guys,

The plan is to make an order with At The Front for our jumpsuits as soon as possible, preferably within the next month or so. So if you're interested add you name to this list and when we're ready we'll order.

**The reason we order from At The Front is because they're plain and simply as close to Original as you will get. The Colour is spot on, the stitching and build quality is second to none and most importantly the trousers pockets are SQUARE. Most manaufactuers of the Standard jumpsuits have the pockets with rounded edges simply because after they were reinforced the trouser pockets went rounded, and most companies do this so that adding the reinforcing is easy. ATF make theirs square, which is correct**

It has occured to me that we will need two sprayed jump suits one that is pucker sprayed for early dragoon operations and one that is fucked for later operations ie when they started to use what they could!


i think we need to look into finding a cheap supplier of correct looking jumpsuits that can be ripped round the arms frayed edges and so forth!

oviously the jump suit that we want for early operations has to atf but i dont want to spend loads on a jacket to rip the fuck out of it. and if we do later opperations it will look odd us standin pristine jump suits

I see what you're saying, and do agree.

However, the Jumpsuits in the Ebay link you posted are the ones SoF now retail and are seriously odd in terms of sizing, and dont go very big.

I will be having a damn god look at Stoneleigh for a supplier, and will see what sort of Jumpsuit De Brabander is selling at the moment, as well as other suppliers.

Like the idea of getting cheaper suits for that battle worn look, but what ever we decide they must all be from the same place to avoid irregularities.

Anyway's Im off back to Cranwell and work now which sucks but got to pay the bills some how!!

Stoneleigh will be a good place to have a look around for a supplier. As long as there all the same then it's fine!

i totalyy agree we need to source all our jump suits from the same place. all im saying is im well excited about this lol

Right, as some may know i bought a standard Jumpsuit from Dennis Smith at Stoneleigh today for the purpose of testing them out as a decent alternative to ATF jumpsuits, and here is my diagnosis.

First of all the colour is good, but could do with a few washes to get some of the newness out. I have compared the jacket to my original and the pockets, shape of pockets, and details are good. The trousers are fine other than the fact that the pockets have that usual ailment of being rounded off, but they aren't as bad as on others so i thought at the time it may be possible to square them off, and it is. I have succesfully squared off the pocket on one leg, and will do the other tomorrow and it is relatively easy and something each person should be able to do, and if not i'll be happy to do it. Tomorrow i will complete the last pocket, and then wash out the jumpsuit before painting it to give a completed look. Once it is done i will post pictures on the forum for your perusal.

HOWEVER, these jumpsuits still aren't the best, they are more than good enough for Southern france impressions and at £80 a pop are cheap. I would recommend that the purchase of ATF jumpsuits still takes place when possible for Italy and training impressions, but these jumpsuits make a Southern France impression this year VERY possible.

Thanks for posting that up. I'm glad the pockets turned out to be easy to do as that was the main worry with them. Good price to! I think if we did a group purchase we would get a discount.

However I just wanted to get some clarification from you on what we are doing about using what jump suit where and when. I had it in my head that we where sourcing a cheaper yet ok looking M42 to basically f%£k up and completely ditch for post Dragoon and then use an ATF one to spray for Southern France? I think we should all get the M42's from the same place so we don't look odd.

Hi Sam.

These Jumpsuits would be fine for Op.Dragoon and Post Dragoon, and in fact they're cheap enough that if people want to buy two sets to fuck one up you'll still get them for cheaper than ONE at the front suit. I have just sprayed mine up, and it looks excellent, i will get pics ASAP.

I just cant help but feel that for what we're going to do to them, ATF Jumpsuits are just too pricey, but are ideal for training and Italy type scenarios. I will post the pictures and see what people think.

Ok guys, pics are in, here goes. I'm 100% with how its turned out.

Here's the jacket,


As you can see, colour wise it is very good and it camouflages very well. The pockets are a good size, right shape and at right angle. All other details are good. Unlike many repros it comes with the small loop for the excess waist band, and as far as i can see its only flaw is the belt not being attached at the back.

And the trousers.

Obviously, same fabric so good colour. Like i said, pockets come rounded off but as you can see, ive unstitched the corners and taken out the excess fabric, resewn and bobs your uncle, you can barely tell.

let me know what you all think? At £80 a suit, i think these are our Daddys. I will compare mine to Jons ATF suit which is now had the camo treatment, and see how they compare.

Admittadly that looks good! I would like to see that M42 and the ATF one side by side however.

yea i know he is but ithought he might of created a web site by now the only i get is those crappy denex things.

when i have spoke to bez about it a month or so back he said he hadnt got one.. bloody shame would make life easyer.. but on the other hand if we find a event he is at and we see him on mass, maybe we could swing some kind of discount. maybe the best place to do this would be stoneleigh, start of the year.. most people go etc?
